For the first time ever, Apple offers a more affordable smartwatch in the Apple Watch SE. Starting at USD 279, the SE offers a retina display, fitness and activity tracking with fall detection and Emergency SOS, heart rate tracking, sleep tracking and the same smartwatch functionalities.
The watch comes in 40mm or 44mm options and you can choose between 3 finishes: silver, gold, or space gray. For added style, there’s also Apple’s new band, the Solo Loop, which comes in silicone or braided yarn.
The Apple Watch SE isn’t, however, equipped with a blood oxygen sensor which the new Apple Watch 6. There’s also no always on display, and it runs on a less advanced chip (S6 on the 6; S5 on the SE).
