After the leaks a few days ago, OnePlus unveils OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100, its new entry-level smartphones available from just 235 US$ (199 Euros).
Famous for the “Flagship Killer” mantra, OnePlus decided this year to expand its catalog with the Nord range. After a first model this summer, two new smartphones have just been revealed: the OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100. They have been designed by selecting the most requested features by the community while reducing costs.
AN N100 THAT AIMS THE ENTRY-LEVEL RANGE
The OnePlus Nord N100 displays a modest technical sheet which shows a desire to drastically lower prices. We find in particular a 6.52-inch IPS HD + LCD screen (1600 x 720 pixels), i.e. a density of only 269 PPP and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC, which can be found in so many entry-level smartphones.
For the rest of the specs, it comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 64 GB of internal storage expandable by microSD, a jack port and a 5000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging.
As for the camera, the N100 features a 3-sensor setup, but don’t expect enormous versatility. Only one of them is really interesting: the main 13-megapixel sensor (with f/2.2 lens). The other two will be used for Macro photos and Portrait mode, with 2 Mpx in both cases.
A MORE APPEALING N10
For its part, The OnePlus Nord N10 is a little more interesting with a 6.49-inch Full HD + IPS LCD screen (405 PPP) with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It also embeds a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chip for 5G compatibility, as well as 6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, expandable by microSD card.
The Oneplus Nord N10 offers a better camera with a 64 Mpx main sensor (f/1.79) and an 8 Mpx ultra-wide angle (f/2.25, 119°). There is also a macro module and a monochrome sensor of 2 Mpx each.
As for the autonomy, this phone integrates a 4300 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge compatibility, also found on the OnePlus 8T.
OnePlus promises a smooth experience despite the moderate characteristics of the smartphones thanks to its software optimizations, and it is undoubtedly on this ground that the manufacturer hope to make the difference compared to the competition in this very competitive segment.
$235 STARTING PRICE
The OnePlus Nord 10 5G with 6GB / 128GB will be offered at 412 US$ (349€) while the OnePlus Nord 100 (4GB / 64GB model) will come with 235 US$ (199€) price tag.
