Honor 10X Lite packs big 5,000mAh battery, quad cameras

Honor’s newest handset might be Lite by name, but it’s definitely no lightweight—even for a more budget-friendly smartphone. The just-unveiled Honor 10X Lite packs in a 5,000mAh battery, 6.67″ punch-hole display, and quad-camera setup at the back.

Those always on their phones will appreciate the massive 5,000mAh battery on the Honor 10X Lite. According to the company’s testing, it can support “up to 59 hours of phone calls, up to 38 hours of 4G calls, up to 23 hours of video playback, and up to 79 hours of FM radio output.”

On top of that, it comes with a 2.5W OTG reverse charging option, allowing you to charge your other gadgets. We can’t say if Honor includes the appropriate charging cable for this. But we’re willing to bet you’d have to pick that up on your own.

Another upside for this phone is it supports relatively quick charging. With Honor’s 22.5W SuperCharge and USB Type-C, the Honor 10X Lite can fully top-up in 95 minutes.

Honor equips the 10X Lite with four cameras at the back and a solo shooter in front. It has a 48-megapixel main lens with an f/1.8 aperture for a promising performance during the day and night. It pairs that with an 8-megapixel Super Wide Angle camera that supports a 120-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth assistant.

The selfie camera in front has an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and access to filters and effects to produce creative selfies.

The Honor 10X Lite runs on a Kirin 710A processor with 4GB of RAM, EMUI 10.1, Magic UI 3.1.1 based on Android 10, and 128GB of expandable storage. You can enjoy watching shows and films, gaming, and working on its 6.67″ display with a 1080p resolution and 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. It still comes with a headphone jack and offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for those looking for that biometric security option.

Plus, it comes in three classy shades: Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Icelandic Frost. The Icelandic Frost looks like it’s on the pink/lavender side.

The Honor 10X Lite is coming first to Russia, with pre-orders starting there on November 6. Its price starts at 16990 RUB (about 214 USD or PHP 10,539).
