Razer continues to expand its catalog of audio products. The brand bought THX in 2016 and intends to use this name so familiar to moviegoers and audiophiles.
In addition to its headsets, most often for PCs and consoles, Razer launched the first Hammerhead True Wireless headphones in 2019. The brand now completes its line with the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro.
ACTIVE NOISE REDUCTION
Razer’s new wireless earphones are intended to compete with Apple’s AirPods Pro, but with a stronger emphasis on video game uses: latency has been particularly reduced, Razer promises.
The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro headphones are in-ear, which allows passive isolation, and equipped with an internal and external hybrid ANC system to improve even more the active isolation from interior and exterior noise. In addition, 4 microphones are integrated to filter out noises.
While these earphones have THX certification, there is also an IPX4 splash and sweat certification.
LOWER LATENCY
Bluetooth audio latency is always a challenge for brands, especially when you think of video game uses where you have to be responsive. Here, Razer promises that the Bluetooth 5.1 connection and built-in Gaming Mode help reduce latency to 60ms in-game.
On the software side, Razer also offers an iOS and Android application for their Hammerhead headphones.
UP TO 4 CHARGES OF 20 HOURS
Hammerhead True Wireless Pro headphones are given with a total battery life of 20 hours. Of course, it is possible to recharge these earphones in the small box provided with them. The brand announces that it is possible to recharge them in 4 hours and up to 4 times before having to recharge the box itself, through a USB-C port.
A HIGH-END PRICE
Razer announces that the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro earphones are available today in their official store, and during the month of December at partner merchants.
The price announced for these earphones is $199.99, which is $70 less than Apple’s AirPods Pro. The brand also sells a TPU cover to protect the charging box at $29.99.
