OPPO Reno5 Pro hands-on: Sleek and Colorful

OPPOs newest 5G phone has just been unveiled. A few weeks after the release of the non-5G Reno5, OPPO reveals the Reno5 Pro. I got my hands-on the unit and here’s a quick rundown of the device – looks wise.

The Reno5 Pro features a new paint job similar to the Reno 5. It’s a bright & glittery experience & the color shifts depending on how the light bounces off it. Beautiful aesthetic upgrade, in my cute-phone-color loving opinion! Also, it’s still very matte so you don’t have to worry about fingerprints!

Just like its predecessor, the OPPO Reno4 Pro, the phone is sleek, light, and feels good in hand. A gracefully curved back & screen adds to this .

Yes, I said curved screen. Probably the main physical difference between this Pro unit and the non-pro Reno5 would be that screen.

Audio jack lovers will be disappointed to learn that there isn’t one here, though the phone comes with wired USB-C earphones in the box.

The back features a quad-camera setup and up front is a single selfie shooter punch-hole camera on the left side of that display.

Full specs of the device will be posted next week, January 18 at the OPPO Reno5 Pro’s offical launch. Pricing and availability is yet to be announced as well.

UPDATE: The OPPO Reno5 Pro retails starting at INR 35,990 in India, sales start on January 22. No news yet in other markets.
