After a number of movie clues, Xiaomi’s Mi 11 has just been unveiled and here’s our first look at the brands newest device that touts #MovieMagic capabilities.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 looks good in that frosty blue they’ve dubbed as Horizon Blue. This thing feels premium & good in-hand. A little too big for my teeny hands, but most phones are anyway. For easier grasp, the phone’s curved back tapers to the sides which then continues on to the front with that curved 6.81″ AMOLED screen.
Make no mistake – that’s one good screen too: WQHD+ with 120hz refresh rate plus, that’s Gorilla Glass Victus so it should be life-proof.
On the corner, there’s the 20mp selfie camera – and though I’m not the biggest fan of selfie punch holes, they’re becoming less and less noticeable on these big-screened phones (or, I’m just getting used to the fact of 😅).
At the bottom, there’s the USB-C charging port, the SIM tray with two sim slots, and 1 out of 2 of those Harman Kardon speakers (the other one is up top).
This thing runs on MIUI 12 on Adroid 10, is 5G enabled, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor – the best of the best right now. It’s powered by a 4600mAh battery with 55w charging & 55w wireless charging.
Finally, we get to the phone highlight: A 108mp main shooter, a 13mp wide, and a 5mp macro camera on that square module. I personally like the minimal black and the added frosted silver/blue level because I feel like it makes the phone look less clunky.
Of course, the #MovieMagic happens not just with the hardware (however impressive they may be, as is in this case), but also with the software. Xiaomi decked this device out with multiple AI video modes as my quick camera tour shows:
