Fitbit has a new activity tracker to encourage kids six years old and above to develop good habits. The Fitbit Ace 3 can be used to set personalized goals and remind its wearer to keep moving throughout the day.
To keep kids engaged, the Ace 3 has customizable animated watch faces. It offers over 20 watch faces to choose from, including four new options (a bunny, cat, martian, and spaceship). These clock faces change as kids make progress towards their daily goals.
This wearable can keep up with an active child as it is designed to be easy to clean. It can take a quick dip in the pool, too, as it is water-resistant for up to 50m. Parents don’t have to worry about daily charging, either, as it promises up to 8 days on a single charge.
The Ace 3 can also help children maintain a consistent sleep schedule. It offers sleep tracking, bedtime reminders, and silent alarms.
For children with their own smartphone, the Ace 3 can alert them about calls on their mobile devices if the phone is close enough.
Parents will need to set up a Fitbit Family account through the Fitbit app for the Ace 3 to work. It can be linked to both Android and iOS devices.
The Fitbit Family account gives parents access to Parent View. It shows them their kid’s activity, provides a way to manage what shows up on their child’s app, and lets them approve any friend requests for their kid.
Children can see their stats through Kid View. It’s where they can see their activity and sleep stats, their friends and their stats, clock faces, avatars, and the badges they earn for meeting their goals. Through the app, kids can also engage in friendly competition with their family and friends via Family Face-Off challenges.
The Fitbit Ace 3 will cost PHP 4,790, and it will arrive in the Philippines through Digital Walker and Fitbit Philippines’ official Lazada and Shopee online stores starting March 31, 2021. It will be available in Black with a Sport Red clasp or in Cosmic Blue with an Astro Green clasp. Fitbit plans to introduce Minions-themed bands in Despicable Blue and Mischief Black, which we hope will make their way here, too.
