Yes, the OnePlus 9 series launch won’t be happening until next week. Yes, you’re seeing one of the new phones ahead of the March 23 launch. OnePlus is jumping the gun and showing off the OnePlus 9 Pro in Morning Mist, which it claims “delivers a serene and harmonious design.”

Why release these images ahead of the launch? Apple is rumored to be holding an event on the same day, so the company might want to draw attention to its devices before it might get overshadowed by the rumored Apple launch.

OnePlus hasn’t revealed too much about the new OnePlus 9 series. But we know some of the newsworthy facts.

OnePlus entered a three-year deal with established Swedish camera maker Hasselblad to help develop OnePlus’ camera systems. The partnership starts with software improvements like color tuning and sensor calibration and “extending to more dimensions in the future.

According to Mashable, the OnePlus 9’s primary camera will be a Sony IMX789, but its exact specs haven’t been revealed yet. It will also reportedly have a freeform lens, which will help eliminate distortion in ultra-wide photos.
