Unified color design

Samsung goes for a minimalistic, soft look with these three phones. These phones don’t quite have that dramatic, eye-catching look of the flagship Galaxy S21 series, but these come in fun shades meant to attract stylish users.

It has a unified color scheme for the phone’s body and its camera module, which is done in what Samsung calls a Matte Haze Finish. You can get any of the three phones in Awesome Blue, Awesome White, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Black.

Capable cameras

Samsung arms the three hands with a quad-camera setup at the back and a single 32-megapixel selfie shooter in front. The Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 all have a 64-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and 5-megapixel macro sensor. The Galaxy A52 and A52 5G have a 5-megapixel depth sensor, which is swapped for an 8-megapixel telephoto lens on the Galaxy A72 with a 3x optical zoom and 30x Space Zoom.

The company equips all the primary lenses and the telephoto lens with optical image stabilization so you can get sharp and steady photos and videos. These handsets also get Samsung features like 4K video snap, Scene Optimizer, Pro video mode, Quick take, AR Emoji, customized filters, and many more.

Thanks to a partnership with Snapchat, these new photos get a new Fun Mode, which builds in signature Snapchat AR lenses into the Camera app. The Galaxy A72 and A52 will have the Fun Mode feature built-in, while the Galaxy A52 5G will get it through a future software update.

Better screens

At the very least, Samsung’s new handsets all get better than the standard 60Hz refresh rate for screens. The 6.5-inch A52 and 6.7-inch A72 get 90Hz refresh rate screens, while the 6.5-inch Galaxy A52 5G offers a 120Hz refresh rate.

All of these are Super AMOLED Infinity-O displays with 800nit displays for bright and crisp screens. For those who use their phone late into the night, Samsung also equips them with the Eye Comfort Shield tech.

Gets the basics down

The Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 all get the essentials you’d expect from Samsung phones. These three are IP67 rated for water and dust resistance, protected by Samsung Knox, and get front-facing stereo speakers with a 43% volume increase from their predecessors.

The Galax A52 and A72 are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, while the A52 5G runs on a Snapdragon 750G processor. RAM maxes out at 8GB, while storage options are either 128GB or 256GB for the Galaxy A52 and 256GB for the A52 5G and A72 with an expansion of up to 1TB via microSD.

All three phones run on Android 11-based One UI 3.1. These are poised to get software updates for three generations and a minimum of four years of security updates after their release, promising you to get long-term use out of any of these devices.

Samsung arms the three phones with long-lasting batteries. The two Galaxy A52 phones get 4,500mAh batteries, while the Galaxy A72 gets a 5,000mAh one. You can get up to two days of use with the help of their AI battery management options. It offers 25W wired fast-charging, too.
