Earlier this month, app researcher Jane Manchun Wong discovered that Twitter was testing an “Undo Tweet” option that lets you un-send a tweet. Think of Gmail’s “Undo Send” button, but for this social media platform. It will prevent you from sending a misspelled or misguided tweet. But it’s still not an edit button, unfortunately.
Wong’s latest discovery about the feature seems to be tied to Twitter’s rumored subscription option. That paid tier will reportedly offer other features like Super Follow, which allows you to follow a publisher or creator for a monthly fee to gain access to exclusive content.
Twitter has confirmed with CNET that it is testing the feature. But it hasn’t revealed much beyond that. We don’t know if Twitter will limit this functionality to paying users. Perhaps, the company isn’t too far into its test to confirm anything else. But we’ll make sure to update you on any news.
Will an Undo Tweet option be helpful to you? What other Twitter features would you like to see? Let us know on social media!
