If there’s one thing you need to know about the vivo X60 series, the company partnered with established lens maker ZEISS to develop the cameras on the new devices. With the standard vivo X60 5G model’s recent launch in the Philippines, of course, we need to talk about its most noteworthy features—the cameras.
If you want to check out an unboxing and quick camera tour of the X60, Isa has that video up here:
What cameras are you getting with the vivo X60?
You get a triple camera array at the back that vivo co-engineered with ZEISS. It comes with a primary 48-megapixel sensor, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens that can zoom in up to 20x digitally, and a 13-megapixel ultrawide with a 120˚ degree field of view. In front, you get a 32-megapixel sensor.
What are its best camera features?
The vivo X60 series are the first smartphones to be released under the new partnership. And with this standard model, vivo promises “stunning night photography, professional motion shots, and introduction of HD panoramic shots” as features to look forward to.
A ‘stellar night mode’
With the help of its powerful lenses, the vivo X60 promises a “stellar night mode” via the Extreme Night Vision 2.0. It can shoot in pitch-dark conditions outdoors with the help of a large f/1.48 aperture and a “high precision noise reduction algorithm.”

With the same lens, the X60 also offers HDR Super Night Portrait, capable of focusing on the subject even in low light. And if you love taking photos of the moon, you get a Super Moon scene mode on this handset.
Steady as it goes with OIS
This standard model doesn’t get the gimbal stabilization system of the vivo X60 Pro and Pro+, but it still has optical image stabilization. It offers a Pro Sports Mode that you can use to capture fast actions in fast focus, allowing you to take motion snapshots in normal and portrait modes.
Get everything in your shot
When it’s safe to travel once again, you’d want to be able to remember the places you’ve visited in their full glory. The X60 has a Super Pano Mode and offers wide-angle photography to make sure you don’t miss out on anything.

Portraits get a bit more fun
vivo brings more fun options for the Portrait Mode on the X60. For those who want more interesting portrait shots, you can change the shapes of light sources in the background to things like hearts and stars.
More makeup modes to play around with
With a 32-megapixel selfie camera, you’re already promised clear selfies. But vivo takes that up a notch with some customizable makeup options to help give you a flattering enhancement with minimal effort. When you need to take photos but are too lazy or busy to put makeup on, the Beauty Mode would be pretty helpful.
