On the hunt for a budget smartphone for you or your loved ones? OPPO recently brought in the OPPO A16. This latest addition to the brand’s entry-level A Series brings a large 6.51-inch HD+ Eye Care Display.
OPPO equips the A16 with a 13-megapixel AI triple camera setup at the back plus an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. You can take advantage of OPPO’s AI Beautification features with its cameras to help you get flattering photos.
This handset runs on a MediaTek G35 processor paired with Android 11-based ColorOS 11, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 256GB). Expect long-lasting battery life with the OPPO A16’s 5,000mAh battery.
You can enjoy access to OPPO features like Game Assistant for a more optimized gaming experience and Flex Drop for using one app on top of another for effortless multitasking.
You can buy the OPPO A16 at OPPO Brand Stores, partner dealers, and via Lazada (for now) for PHP 7,999. It’s available in Pearl Blue and Space Silver. There’s now also a 3GB + 32GB option in Crystal Black available on Shopee for PHP 6,999. It’s listed as “Exclusive First on Shopee,” so we’re a bit uncertain about when it might make its way to other platforms or retailers.
Except for the memory and storage configuration, everything about these phones is identical. If you want to save an extra PHP 1,000, then you might want to consider this option.
