A few days after Xiaomi confirmed its existence. The company just launched the Redmi 10, a new budget-friendly handset that offers some compelling features.
It’s the first Redmi device to get a 50-megapixel quad-camera setup. That sensor is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth. In front, there’s another 8-megapixel sensor.
Its 6.5-inch screen has an FHD+ resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate with AdaptiveSync technology, meaning the device will automatically adjust the refresh rate to your content so the battery can last longer. Redmi 10 also gets Reading Mode 3.0 to make it easier to stare at your screen. This handset also has dual speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Redmi 10 runs on the new MediaTek Helio G88 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.
Expect to use these for a long time with its 5,000mAh battery that supports 18-watt charging with the included 22.5-watt charger.
The Redmi 10 comes in matte Carbon Gray and Pebble White with a classic, smooth fingerprint-proof finish and a beautifully textured glossy Sea Blue. We definitely have our eye on the Sea Blue.
Here’s how much the different configurations will cost:
- 4GB+64GB – USD 179 or PHP 7,590
- 4GB+128GB – USD 199 (around PHP 10,085, won’t be available in the Philippines)
- 6GB+128GB – USD 219 or PHP 8,590
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 will be available in some markets starting August 20. In the Philippines, it will be available for purchase via Xiaomi’s official channels starting September 18, 2021. If you buy it via Xiaomi’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee, you can get PHP 500 off your purchase.
The Redmi 10 is also available through Home Credit. The 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants can be availed at 0% interest in six months for as low as PHP 913/month and PHP 1,033/month, respectively.
