A new vivo Y series is available in the country through Smart Communication’s postpaid plan. And a recent update brings the device to Globe Telecom’s postpaid plan, too.
You can get the vivo Y72 5G through Signature Plan 1499. You will need to add PHP 100 to the PHP 1,499 you’ll pay monthly for the two-year lock-in. You also have one-time cash out of PHP 1,810. When you sign up for the phone, you will get a free Bluetooth speaker with it.
The Smart Signature Plan 1499 includes 10GB of data per month and Unli AllNet Calls & Texts along with 100 minutes worth of calls to any PLDT number.
If you want to get it through Globe, it’s available through GPLAN 1499 without any cashout needed. This 24-month subscription requires a PHP 1,499 fee per month.
You’ll get the following inclusions and freebies:
- 10GB of mobile data
- unlimited text messages and calls to subscribers of all networks
- unlimited calls to Duo and landline users
- 3GB of GoWiFi
- 24/7 access to licensed medical professionals through KonsultaMD

As Revu reported, if you want access to HBO Go via GlobeOne, you’ll have to shell out an extra PHP 599 for a six-month subscription.
The vivo Y72 was launched in Thailand back in March, and it’s the first 5G-capable Y series phone in the country. This FunTouch OS 11.1 handset runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
It has a triple 64-megapixel rear setup with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. And it has a sizeable 5,000mAh battery that supports 18-watt fast-charging via USB-C. The vivo Y72 5G is available in Graphite Black and Dream Glow.
