After launching the Samsung Galaxy A52 in March, Samsung now has an “s” version of this 5G-capable handset. The improvements are mostly when it comes to the processor.

The Galaxy A52s now has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage. (The Snapdragon 778G chipset runs on devices like the realme GT Master Edition.) Samsung also equips this phone with its Advanced Game Booster for better gaming performance. It gets a 6.5-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED screen, but we have seen that in the 5G option of the original Galaxy A52.

The rest of the phone is the same as its predecessor. You get a 4,500mAh battery with 25-watt charging support, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP67 water and dust resistance, headphone jack, and a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup paired with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

If you were thinking of getting the Galaxy A52, it might be worth holding out for the Samsung Galaxy A52s. In the UK, it’s coming on August 24 in Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Purple, and Awesome Mint for GBP 409 (around USD 555).

In the Philippines, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G 128GB option is available for PHP 22,990 (around USD 451 converted), while the 256GB variant is priced at PHP 24,990 (USD 490). Both variants come in the minimalist Awesome Black, with the Awesome White 256GB available as an online-exclusive device. Meanwhile, the 128GB variant is also available exclusively online in pastel Awesome Violet and Awesome Mint.
