realme GT Neo2 launches in China, with plans for a global release

When realme launches new devices in its home country, we’re always waiting to know whether it’ll get an international release. Just last week, the company brought in the realme GT Master Edition and the realme Book in the Philippines. Now, we learn that the recently launched realme GT Neo2 will also be launching internationally.

The new handset is expected to arrive in India next month. It might not launch in other markets with the same name, but it will bring in decent specs if realme doesn’t change things.

The realme GT Neo2 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, and the Android 11-based realme UI 2.0.

The device has a 6.62-inch FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, 5G support, NFC connectivity, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It gets a 64-megapixel triple camera setup on the back paired with a 16-megapixel selfie camera inside a punch hole.

The realme GT Neo2 gets a 5,000mAh battery that supports 65-watt fast charging via USB-C.

In China, the device is now available for pre-order, with it coming to stores today, September 27. There are three colors to choose from: black, blue, and a vibrant green color with a black stripe.

Here’s how much the device costs:
