Instant photography adds a bit of permanence with instax’s new Link Wide mobile printer. It lets you squeeze in more people into your prints with its wide-format, landscape-oriented films.
The instax Link Wide connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth to start printing right from your mobile device. Or you can use your Fujifilm X-S10 with it, too.
You can use the traditional instax Wide film in white, or you can try printing your favorite moments in the new instax Wide Black film. There are two print modes available: instax-Rich and instax-Natural. The former uses the colors it sees on your smartphone screen, while the latter gives you that classic, slightly faded instax look.
The instax Link Wide has a multi-reprint feature, allowing you to share copies of your favorite moments. For personal use, they can be handy as party souvenirs or even invites. The battery life on this printer is expected to last around 100 prints before a recharge.
This printer makes it easy to add your personal touch to these prints. The QR Print Mode lets you add a QR code to your photos which can hold one of these things:
- An audio clip or a part of a song to commemorate an event
- A hidden text message to a loved one
- A location pin for parties and other events
- And a URL link to your personal or business site
You can customize around 30 editable templates or create one from scratch to make these prints truly your own. If you want to add stickers, you can do that, too. You can also add sketches or your signature to a photograph with the Sketch, Edit, & Print tool. The device even supports a Collage Print feature to help you tell your story on a larger canvas.
The instax Link Wide is available at the Instax flagship stores on Lazada and Shopee, at wonderphotoshop.ph, and at FUJIFILM authorized dealers nationwide. It retails for PHP 8,999 (around USD 179 converted), and it comes with a free pack of film. The device itself comes in two neutral shades: Ash White and Mocha Gray.
