POCO M4 Pro 5G: 4 things you need to know

POCO’s got a new powerhouse midrange smartphone built for young users who want an immersive entertainment experience from their devices.

And we’re happy to report that the POCO M4 Pro 5G will be coming to the Philippines and other markets around the world.

In the Philippines, POCO is offering these two configurations for the POCO M4 Pro 5G:

  • 4GB + 64GB – PHP 11,990 (around USD 240)
  • 6GB + 128G – PHP 12,990 (USD 259)

When the phone goes on sale on November 11, the flash sale price on Shopee will be PHP 10,990 for the 4GB and PHP 11,990 for the 6GB.

Let’s take a quick look at what else this new POCO smartphone has to offer.

From work to play with its MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor

The Poco M4 Pro 5G promises the best video, gaming, and daily use experience in an affordable package. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card, 5G connectivity with dual 5G support, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Long-lasting and faster charging

POCO’s never been one to scrimp on battery capacity and fast-charging capabilities. The POCO M4 Pro 5G is no different. It has a 5,000mAh battery that you can top up much quicker than the POCO M3 Pro, thanks to a 33W in-box charger. This can completely charge the phone in 59 minutes, and a 10-minute charge offers up to two hours of video streaming.

Smart display in an attractive package

POCO gives the M4 Pro a slightly larger 6.6-inch FHD+ DotDisplay, with a 90Hz DynamicSwitch refresh rate. That means the device can automatically switch the refresh rate depending on what activity you’re doing, so you get the most out of the M4 Pro’s battery life. For gamers, this phone operates at either 60 frames per second or 90fps, which should be an enjoyable experience, especially if paired with dual speakers and its X-axis linear motor for a haptic touch-like response.

The device will be great to hold in hand at 195g and a thin 8.75mm frame. The POCO M4 Pro 5G also comes in the same colors as its predecessor: POCO Yellow, Power Black, and Cool Blue.

50MP cam debuts on the POCO M series

POCO upgrades the cameras on the M4 Pro, including the series’ first 50-megapixel sensor. This smartphone features a dual-camera setup instead of the previous gen’s triple-camera array. But, on paper, this looks to be more promising with that primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. In front, there’s also a new 16-megapixel selfie camera.

Bonus level: POCO 11.11 deals

Aside from launching this new smartphone, POCO is also offering some great deals over at its official Shopee and Lazada stores this November 11:
