There might be times when you want your wireless earbuds to stand out less. JLab has just launched a new pair of buds it co-developed with nail care company ORLY.
The two companies rebranded the affordable Go Air Pop to make the new Go Air Tones. Unlike the typical true wireless earbuds that come in black or white or some other flashy color, the Go Air Tones come in shades that are “flattering for people across a spectrum of skin tones.”
They selected seven Pantone shades from an original collection of over 60 options. ORLY’s expertise in creating nude nail polishes allowed them to narrow down the choices into colors that “encompassed a variety of skin tones with a mix of warm, neutral and cool undertones.”
If you want to see what option suits you best, JLab has an AR fitting room for a virtual try-on.
The Go Air Tones don’t particularly stand out on the specs side. But that isn’t too disappointing for its USD 20 price tag (around PHP 1,020 converted). It has a runtime of up to 32 hours from the buds and the charging case (which has its USB cable built-in). It comes with built-in touch sensors that allow you to toggle between three different sound modes (Balanced, Signature, and Bass Boost) and control things like changing tracks, adjusting volume, playing and pausing audio, answering calls, and enabling your voice assistant of choice.
You can opt to connect one earbud at a time to your phone. It also has an IPX4 rating, so you don’t have to worry about getting a bit of water or sweat on it.
The JLab Go Air Tones are now available for pre-orders in some markets, with shipping set for this month.
