If a more portable yet powerful gaming machine is what you want, ASUS gives you that option in this new Windows-based gaming tablet. And here’s a better look at that new ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and what it offers you.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is a powerful machine running on an Intel Core i9-12900H 45W processor with NVIDIA’s RTX 3050 Ti, up to 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz memory, and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Coming in at 12mm, it’s not the thinnest tablet, but we aren’t going to be too picky with that impressive configuration.

If you want access to a higher frame rate or 4K resolution, the ROG Flow Z13 follows in the footsteps of the ROG Flow X13 laptop. It connects to the ASUS’s XG Mobile eGPU, allowing it to harness the power of a GeForce RTX 3080 mobile GPU or AMD’s newly launched Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU.

The ROG Flow Z13 gets two display options. There’s a 1080p IPS touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent sRGB coverage, and 500 nits of brightness. And then there’s a 4K IPS touchscreen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 85 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage, and 450 nits of brightness.

Both have Gorilla Glass protection, 16:10 aspect ratios, and are validated by Pantone for color accuracy.

You can easily prop this 13.4-inch tablet up with the built-in kickstand and get things done with the included detachable keyboard. The keyboard that gets per-key RGB backlighting because gaming, I guess.

The port situation includes one Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort 1.4 for video output (via the integrated graphics) and up to 100W PD charging, a USB-C 3.2 Gen port for video (via dedicated graphics) and PD charging, an eGPU port, one USB-A 2.0 port, a UHS-II class microSD card reader, headphone jack, and HDMI 2.0 port.

ASUS hasn’t revealed pricing for the ROG Flow Z13. But if you look at the ROG Flow X13 and XG Mobile eGPU bundle, that came in at a very cool USD 3,299.99 price tag (around PHP 168,375 converted), which definitely rivals some of the premium gaming laptops out there.
