This week, a Filipina Trident Operator made her way for the first time in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific titles. Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes is the final Task Force 006: Trident Operator to arrive at the end of Season One.
Isabella is a close-quarters specialist trained in Arnis by her father. They practiced hand-to-hand combat together as well as fighting with “sticks, knives, blades and learning weapon-disarming techniques.” After the attack of the Philippines by Japanese forces in 1942, her father was captured and murdered during the Battle of Bataan.

Here’s her bio on the Call of Duty website:
Raised in the Territory of the Philippine Islands, Isabella was trained by her father from a young age to be a martial arts master. During her childhood, he taught her Arnis, the national martial art of the Philippines. Together they practiced hand-to-hand combat, as well as fighting with sticks, knives, blades and learning weapon-disarming techniques.
Following her father’s tragic passing, she joined the Hukbalahap Resistance, where she further honed the fighting skills he had taught her. A deadly close-quarters specialist, she continues the fight in order to seek justice for her father.
According to her Wiki page, she was at some point recruited by Carver Butcher and the SOE, joining Task Force Trident. And in December 1944, she took part in Operation Vulcan at Caldera.

Narrative designer for Call of Duty: Vanguard Belinda Garcia shares Isabella’s cinematic trailer and insights on the character and this feature on her Twitter. (We encourage you to scroll and read the thread of tweets!)
Isabella Rosario Dulnuan Reyes arrived this week in #Vanguard and #Warzone, a Filipina operator I had the absolute honor of helping create. It meant so much to me to bring my culture to @CallofDuty. 🇵ðŸ‡

Isabella’s character is available for purchase as part of her own “Wild Rose” bundle, where you’ll also be able to unlock her favorite weapon: the Welgun SMG. Newsweek reports the firearm will be capable of downing opponents in three or four shots and can be upgraded with extended magazines to double its ammo capacity.
