As with any product available on the market, there are specific users for specific gadgets. Not everyone needs or wants Apple Watches or other high-tech smartwatches from our favorite tech or sports brands. Some are perfectly content with getting some of that data on a device that wouldn’t look too “techie.”

Withings hits that specific market with the ScanWatch. We got our hands on its new Rose Gold option, and we definitely love the sleek and stylish look of this hybrid smartwatch.
This particular option comes in a 38mm case. Its rose gold hue is achieved through a vapor bath of 18-karat gold thickly sprayed onto a 316L stainless steel case. As for durability, it’s protected by sapphire glass, which is considered one of the most durable materials in the industry.
It features minimalistic minute markers and a crown that you can turn to check out the ScanWatch’s digital features.
There are two circular insets on the watch that give away its hybrid features. At the top is a PMOLED screen that displays digital day/time and metrics like notifications, heart rate, steps, ECG and oxygen saturation, and more.
If you want a more analog display of your daily step count, that’s what the second inset is for. It moves as you fill up your daily steps and then resets at midnight every day.
It monitors your workouts, too, so you can get details on that through the app. It can detect runs, swims, and around 40 other activities, offering VO2Max estimation and calories and elevation tracking. It doesn’t have GPS, though, so it relies on the GPS on your Android or iOS device.
The data this watch collects is accessible through Withings’ Health mate app.
The Withings ScanWatch can last for up to 30 days on a single charge. The company says you can get an extra 20 more if you use it in power reserve mode (time and activity tracking only).
The Withings ScanWatch in Rose Gold with a white watch face retails for USD 299.95 (around PHP 15,383 converted). If you want this oyster metal link wristband, you’ll spring for an additional USD 89.95 (PHP 4,615).
