ASUS takes the idea of its ASUS ROG Zephyrus that lifted a trapdoor of sorts to help with cooling and brings it to a recently launched “most powerful Zenbook ever.” The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED brings its ErgoLift mechanism and applies it to the keyboard. We aren’t sure how ergonomic that will be in the long run, but we’re intrigued enough.
This laptop is geared toward creators with a unique feature like the palm-rest jog dial that can offer better control for creative apps. That’s paired with a 16-inch 4K OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100 percent DCI-P3 color, and 0.2ms response time.

You even get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an 985MB/sec SD Express 7.0 card reader, and a large touchpad with both pressure sensitivity and a linear actuator for haptic feedback. Now, let’s just hope software developers take advantage of that.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED runs on the 12th-gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor with an NVIDIA RTX 3060. The GPU might not be the most gaming-capable, but that doesn’t seem to be the focus here. It supports up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage.

This PC also has two speakers, four woofers, and stylus support for an ASUS Pen. All the other ports and accessories include a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, a full-size USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. And there is also Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a sizeable 96Wh battery, promising up to 10 hours of use.
The laptop weighs a slightly hefty 5.3 pounds with that giant battery. But if you wanted a capable PC to take with you anywhere you might be working. The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED will be pretty compelling.

The new ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED retails for USD 2,599.
