Honor makes PH comeback, expect devices in store by Q4 2022

Honor, the former sub-brand of Huawei, is making a return in the Philippines. The brand has tapped local distributor Iridium Technologies to bring its devices to the country.

According to Ricky Sy, president of Honor Philippines/Iridium Technologies Inc., we should expect its products to land in the market—both online and offline—by the fourth quarter of the year.

Honor hasn’t specified what products we could expect, but it plans to prioritize bringing in smartphones, laptops, tablets, and wearables. Daniel Wang, director of the Channel Management Department of Honor Device Com., Ltd., hinted at its foldable device coming next year.

Honor Philippines contract signing

Huawei sold Honor in 2020, allowing the brand to be free from US sanctions imposed on its parent company. That allowed Honor to release devices running with Google Services onboard, which is something Huawei still can’t do.

We’re interested to see how Honor will fare in the Philippine market. And what new devices we’ll get to see from the company.
