We’ve already talked about the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 a few weeks back when the company launched it alongside some new laptops, earbuds, and more. But now, we got a quick peek at the tablet in person ahead of its local launch.
This premium Huawei tablet takes the fight to the pro-level slates from its competitors, with the company throwing in its best technology to make that possible.

The new “skin soothing” finish on the back of the tablet is one of the newest changes on this tablet. It’s pleasing to look at with the sparkle it gives off against the dark shell. There’s no other color option if you’re looking for a lighter shade.
The finish serves another purpose of at least masking smudges and scratches, which I’ve noticed the older Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 isn’t particularly good at hiding.
Huawei also adds the circular camera module we see in the company’s P-series smartphones. The company wants to create a unified design across its premium devices.

The company boasts about how the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is its lightest and thinnest model, and it certainly feels comfortable in hand. I can easily hold it with one hand, which would be handy if you like reading one-handed on a tablet.
The 11-inch OLED screen is an upgrade from its predecessor, bringing premium specs like a 120Hz refresh rate and 92% screen-to-body ratio. The camera in the punch hole stays out of the way in the top left corner.
Huawei ditches Harman Kardon for its in-house Huawei Sound technology, which it claims is best for enjoying content on this tablet.

This tablet isn’t just for content consumption. It is for work, too. With HarmonyOS 3, the tablet accesses Huawei’s impressive ecosystem connectivity and new PC-level multi-tasking features. The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is the first tablet equipped with this new version of HarmonyOS.
It’s a new look and the addition of widget stacking and grouping. Using the tablet in its split-screen mode also seems more straightforward than its predecessor. We still need to test this. The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 also gets improved privacy features, reliability, and responsiveness.
This tablet promises to give you more control over app access. It can show you what apps use your tablet’s hardware and let you remove permissions when you want.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 or 888 powers the Huawei MatePad Pro 11. The processor type depends on where the tablet is sold. Storage starts at 128GB and goes up to 512GB, while RAM is either 8GB or 12GB.
This tablet gets a sizeable 8,300mAh battery with support for Huawei’s 66W SuperCharge. This capacity should give you up to 11.5 hours of continuous local video playback. That could translate to a full day’s use or more, depending on your use.
We’re loving the new magnetic keyboard this tablet supports because you can use it separately from the tablet, allowing you to position the tablet in the way you want. Huawei’s also improved the latency of the new M-Pencil the MatePad Pro 11 supports.
