If you’ve ever wondered why there hasn’t been a slim, budget phone from vivo, the company wants to address this observation with the new vivo Y02s.
vivo boasts that it is its thinnest entry-level phone yet with its 8mm body and 186g weight. But that isn’t all this phone has to offer.
The battery is one of the big selling points of this device. The vivo Y02s gets a 5,000mAh battery that promises up to 18 hours of YouTube streaming in HD, 20 hours of Spotify music playback, and seven hours of PUBG and Mobile Legends. You can even turn the phone into a power bank with support for reverse charging.
The waterdrop notch on the phone reminds us that it’s an entry-level device. But it still gets a large 6.51-inch HD+ display with a 1,600 x 720 resolution.
The vivo Y02s runs on an older MediaTek Helio P35 paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. vivo equips this handset with its Multi-Turbo 5.5 and Ultra Game Modes, which should give you an improved gaming experience. However, do not expect this handset to perform as well as more expensive devices.
If we base it on its specs, this phone is more for consuming content, casual browsing, and social media than anything else. It has an 8-megapixel main rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with Aura Screen Light.
vivo offers the Y02s in Flourite Black and Vibrant Blue. The vivo Y02s launched on August 13 via the vivo website, Lazada, Shopee and TikTok shop. It’s also available nationwide through offline stores (experience stores and kiosks) for only PHP 6,499 (around USD 116).
