OPPO refreshes its budget line with a few new additions to the A series. One of the latest devices—which you can get your hands on now—is the new OPPO A17. Get a better look at the phone and a quick peek at what powers this device.
OPPO brings a 50-megapixel main camera to this entry-level phone paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It gets camera features like Night View Selfie, Portrait Retouching, and Portrait Mode.
The OPPO A77 runs on a MediaTek Helio G35 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
The company brings its RAM expansion technology to this phone, allowing you to double the RAM by taking some of your storage. If you need that extra storage, you can expand that up to 1TB with a microSDXC card.
This handset also has a 6.56-inch IPS LCD and a large 5,000mAh battery. Without a draining display and demanding processor, you can expect a lot of mileage from this battery.
The phone comes in a plastic shell and in Lake Blue and Midnight Black options. While it’s not completely fingerprint-resistant, the matte texture has a leather-like feel, which I like. It makes it easy to hold.
The OPPO A17 goes on sale starting today. OPPO Philippines retails it for PHP 7,999 (around USD 135).
