Spotify Wrapped 2022: 3 fave features

It’s that time of the year when everyone shares their secrets… and by secrets I mean their Spotify Wrapped highlights. And if you haven’t done it yet, you can open your mobile Spotify app to see your 2022 Wrapped experience and share the best bits (or your guilty pleasures) on social media.

This year’s Spotify Wrapped is centered around self-expression and play, so there are even more new insights and fun shareable features you can brag about online. I’m highlighting three of my favorite features from this year’s experience

Your Listening Personality

It’s like Myers-Briggs but for your music taste. The Listening Personality feature takes your listening history and examines what it means about your taste. There are 16 different Spotify-created Listening Personality types, with the result based on your 2022 listening trends.

Spotify Wrapped’s Audio Day

Spotify really seems to be leaning on personality types and habits. This year’s Wrapped takes a look at how your music taste changes throughout the day and shares the vibe or sound you’re going for through the day

Your Artist Messages

I remember loving the personalized messages Spotify introduced last year from top listeners of certain top artists. This year, the streaming service expands this list to over 40,000 artists including Taylor Swift, J Balvin, Maneskin, Billie Eilish, and more. Eligible fans will see a personalized video under the #SpotifyWrapped tab in the mobile app under the Your Artist Messages section. Each message is followed by your most listened track in 2022 from the artist.

Spotify Wrapped isn’t limited in the app, though. Aside from being shareable on Instagram and Facebook, the experience also gets custom Wrapped GIFs you can add to your Stories. The streaming service partnered with FC Barcelona to offer 2022 Wrapped ideos on socialfrom players ike Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Ansu Fati, and Alexia Putellas.

The experience also comes to Roblox with a Spotify Island filled with Wrapped-inspired quests, virtual merch, games, and photo booth opportunities with artists like CRO, Miranda Lambert, Bizarrap, NIKI, Stray Kids, Tove Lo, SUNMI, and more.

In the Philippines, there will also be a physical Spotify Wrapped Playground on December 10 and 11 at SM Mall of Asia. You can try out different activities and catch performances from BINI and BGYO.
