It might be a monitor built for gaming, but Samsung isn’t playing around with the Samsung Odyssey Ark. It arrived late last year with a promise of an “unparalleled level of gaming.”
The basics
The Samsung Odyssey Ark is a 55-inch curved monitor equipped with Quantum Matrix Technology. It uses Quantum Mini-LEDs for more tightly packed pixels and better light control and detail. This means it offers excellent HDR gaming, similar to what you get from Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs.
This monitor runs at 4K UHD resolution with up to 165GHz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and AMD Freesync Premium Pro. For console gamers, you’ll be happy to hear this monitor is VRR compatible via its HDMI 2.1 port with support for high frame rates at 4K.
Samsung equips the Ark with its Gaming Hub. This feature lets you access popular game streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce Now, and Utomik without additional hardware.

With the Samsung Odyssey Ark’s 1000R Curvature, you’re promised immersive 3D gaming from every angle.
And this 3D experience extends to its audio. This Ark is equipped with Sound Dome Technology with four embedded speakers and two central subwoofers that support Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Booster. Whether you’re playing the latest shooter or your favorite open-world RPG, prepare for an immersive soundscape.

The Ark doesn’t just cater to a specific gamer. It promises an optimized view no matter what you use it for. Its Multi-View feature lets you see multiple screens simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Flex Move Screen lets you shrink the usable screen to the size you need (anywhere between 55 inches and 27 inches and aspect ratios of 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9).
Samsung Odyssey Ark’s Cockpit Mode & Ark Dial
You can even turn the Samsung Odyssey Ark into this alien-esque vertical screen in Cockpit Mode. You can turn it 90 degrees with the help of its adjustable stand.
And to make it easy to adjust the Ark’s settings, Samsung includes the exclusive Ark Dial control. You just need to twist or press to get to the settings you need.
