OPPO updates its Reno8 series with a new midrange OPPO Reno8 T, a stylish smartphone built with the brand’s signature selfie and portrait features. Plus, a fun party trick of a feature that involves magnifying beyond what’s seen by the naked eye.

OPPO brings a new 100-megapixel camera you can use to take high-quality portraits. It should also come in handy for landscapes as it gives you the freedom to crop into shots without losing too much detail.

You also get a 2-megapixel depth and a 2-megapixel microlens. The former is useful for achieving that bokeh effect in portraits. Meanwhile, the latter is a microscopic camera that lets you zoom in very close to your subjects at 20x or 40x magnification. OPPO has offered this technology in its flagship Find X3 Pro. Now, it finally makes its way into the midrange with the Reno8 T.

If looks are important to you, the OPPO Reno8 T calls for your attention with its new vibrant Sunset Orange option. The orange-colored OPPO smartphones are definitely eye-catching handsets. And this new one is no different. OPPO uses what it calls a “Fiberglass-leather” texture, which brings a leather-like finish to this phone. It looks great in person, especially since it doesn’t collect smudges and offers a good grip.

If the vibrant hue isn’t your thing, there’s also a Midnight Black option. It features OPPO’s signature Glow finish. Similar to other OPPO Reno devices, the Orbit Light makes an appearance here. It’s a rear notification light around one of the camera modules.

The OPPO Reno8 T runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 processor paired with 8GB RAM (with 8GB virtual RAM support) and 256GB of expandable storage (up to 1TB). This phone runs Android 13-based ColorOS 13 out of the box. And it promises what OPPO says is a “48-month fluency.” That should make the phone usable for up to four years without slowing down.

This 4G phone also comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the punch-hole on the top left corner of the screen. It also gets useful features like stereo speakers and a large 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging support.

The OPPO Reno8 T retails for PHP 18,999 (around USD 347) and is now available for pre-order until February 17. If you get it within this period, you get a free pair of OPPO Enco Buds 2 and a PHP 1K (~USD 18) off voucher, too.
