Xiaomi released a limited-edition version of the Xiaomi Civi 2 in China that will please Hello Kitty fans. Unfortunately, it’ll only be available in that market as far as we know.
Xiaomi pulls a move we’ve associated with vivo where a photochromic process turns the phone from gray to rose red when hit by UV light or sunlight. And with it you’ll see Hello Kitty’s face plastered on the back of the phone.
Like the standard Xiaomi Civi 2 model, this selfie-centric phone gets a dual 32-megapixel selfie camera with dual LED flashes. That’s paired with a triple rear array on the back that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, 20-megapixel ultrawide, and 2-megapixel macro.
It has a 6.55-inch OLED hyperbolic flexible screen with a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution display and 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This phone comes with a custom stainless steel VC Liquid Cooling tech to keep temperatures in check.
The Xiaomi Civi 2 runs on Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 13 skin. It also gets a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging
The Xiaomi Civi 2 Hello Kitty edition now up for sale in the Chinese market for CNY 2,799 (around USD 410), which is the same price as the basic 12GB + 256GB model when it launched.
