IN PHOTOS: ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304)

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304) is the ultimate laptop for busy professionals who value style and performance. The company boasts that it’s the world’s thinnest and lightest OLED laptop. It weighs only 1 kg and measures only 1 cm in thickness (think slim as a pen). ASUS is confident about how light it is that they hung it up during the local launch I attended yesterday.

This laptop’s light weight isn’t all it has going for it. It sports a sleek ceramic-coated design that looks great in any setting. The lines running through the back cover give the Zenbook S 13 OLED its unique design. Plus, its finish is also on the matte side, which feels good to touch, but also looks like it won’t retain smudges.

The Zenbook S 13 OLED is eco-friendly, too. It uses recycled materials in its construction, reducing its carbon footprint by 50%. That includes post-consumer recycled plastics, post-industrial recycled (PIR) aluminum, and PIR magnesium alloy. Plus, it comes with 100% recyclable packaging.

It has more features than ever, as well. That includes its 13.3-inch ASUS Lumina OLED Display, which is also a 16:10 2.8K OLED HDR NanoEdge panel. It promises stunning visuals, fast response time, and eye protection.

This machine offers Intel Iris Xe graphics, Dolby Vision Atmos, Harman Kardon-tuned sound, and, disappointingly, Windows 11 Home. With a 63Wh high-capacity battery, you get up to 14 hours of battery life. And a 49-minute fast charge gets you up to 70%.

As for its ports, this laptop has two Thunderbolt 4, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, an HDMI 2.1, and an audio jack. And if you’re worried about durability, the Zenbook S 13 OLED meets the US MIL-STD-810H military-grade standard, which meant it underwent 12 rigorous test methods and 26 punishing test procedures.

The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED has a starting price of PHP 79,995 (around USD 1,435). You can choose from various configurations with up to an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. It comes in Basalt Gray, but we also spotted the blue option at the event.
