Beats Studio Buds+ go transparent

Remember the days when you could see through your gadgets and marvel at their inner workings? Apple does, and it’s bringing back that retro vibe with its new Beats Studio Buds+, the latest wireless earbuds from the tech giant. (And yes, it totally reminds us of the Nothing ear (1).)

The ‘major improvements’

Apple‘s Beats Studio Buds+ aren’t only eye-catching with their transparent finish. They also boast “major improvements” over the previous generation of Studio Buds (launched in 2021). There are changes to Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Transparency, call performance, and battery life.

The new earbuds are designed to deliver crystal-clear sound and block out unwanted noise, whether you’re listening to music, podcasts, or phone calls. You can also switch to Transparency mode to let in some ambient sound when you need to be aware of your surroundings.

Apple claims these earbuds deliver up to 1.6 more powerful ANC and two times better Transparency than its predecessor.

These buds feature a proprietary two-layer transducer that flexes to produce clean bass and ultra-low distortion. They also have a re-engineered acoustic venting system that reduces ear pressure and improves comfort.

About the software

The earbuds are compatible with both iOS and Android devices. And you get some handy features for both platforms.

iOS users get support for one-touch pairing, hands-free Siri access, Find My, and over-the-air updates. Meanwhile, Android users get Google Fast Pair, audio switch, and Find My Device.

Beats Studio Buds+ and its battery life

The battery life of the Beats Studio Buds+ is pretty good. You get up to 36 hours of total playtime, including 27 hours from the charging case and nine hours from each earbud. And if you’re in a hurry, you can use the “Fast Fuel” charging option to get an hour of juice in just five minutes.

Beats Studio Buds+: Price and availability

The Beats Studio Buds+ come in three colors: Black/Gold, Ivory, or Transparent. The new earbuds are available now for USD 169.99—which is USD 20 more than the standard Studio Buds.
