IN PHOTOS: Fujifilm X-S20

Fujifilm has just launched the X-S20, a new mirrorless camera that combines high performance and portability. This new camera is part of the X Series, a line known for its compact and lightweight body and impressive image quality based on Fujifilm’s proprietary color reproduction technology.

The Fujifilm X-S20 boasts a 26.1-megapixel back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and a high-speed X-Processor 5 for producing stunning images. It also has a large grip for comfortable handling, a five-axis in-body image stabilization system that compensates for camera shake and offers up to a 7.0-stop advantage, and an AI-based autofocus system that can track animals and cars.

This mirrorless cam isn’t only for still photography but for videography, too. It can record 6.2K/30P video internally with 10-bit color depth and has a 3.5mm audio jack for external audio accessories. And it gets a new, dedicated Vlog Mode for easy, run-and-gun vlogging. It also supports external devices (like ATOMOS HDMI products) for recording RAW video in 12-bit Apple ProRes or Blackmagic formats (at resolutions up to 6.2K and frame rates up to 29.97 frames per second).

You can also use the Fujifilm X-S20 as a webcam without any software installation (just use a USB-C cable to plug into your PC). It can stream live video with film simulation modes and adjustable settings.

This camera also has a 1.84-million dot rear vari-angle LCD monitor that you can tilt for self-portraits or different angles. The X-S20 is also equipped with a 2.36-million-dot EVF with a 0.62x magnification.

The X-S20 boasts a long battery life, lasting up to 800 shots per charge (more than double its predecessor). And since it weighs only 491g, it makes for an ideal travel companion.

Fujifilm Philippines launches its pre-order period today, May 24, until June 15, 2023. Pricing for the Fujifilm X-S20 starts at PHP 79,990 (around USD 1,435) for the body only and goes up to PHP 113,980 (~USD 2,045) for the X-S20 18-5mm kit + tripod grip.
