OPPO Reno10 series brings ‘ultra-clear’ portraits

The OPPO Reno10 series is the latest evolution of the Reno series. The most exciting improvements revolve around its smartphone cameras. So, of course, we have to talk about those first.

Ready for ‘ultra-clear’ portraits

The Reno10 series features an upgraded “Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera” system that lets you capture stunning portraits even those taken afar. Each variant has a slightly different camera configuration to suit your needs.

The OPPO Reno10 5G has a 64-megapixel main camera, a 32-megapixel telephoto portrait camera with IMX709 RGBW sensor for enhanced color and brightness, a 112-degree 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera for scenic shots, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G has a 50-megapixel primary camera with an IMX890 sensor and optical image stabilization for stable and clear shots, a 32-megapixel IMX709 telephoto portrait sensor for zoomed-in portraits, a 112-degree 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera for panoramic views, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

And then, the top-of-the-line OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G has a superior camera setup with a 64-megapixel telephoto portrait setup with OIS for detailed and sharp portraits, a 50-megapixel IMX890 main sensor, and a 32-megapixel selfie cam with autofocus for perfect selfies.

All variants can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second, but the Reno10 Pro+ 5G also supports 4K Ultra Night Mode, which allows you to shoot amazing videos even in low-light conditions. It’s nice to have that option if you shoot a lot in darker environments.

Style meets substance

The Reno10 series merges style and substance, similar to the Reno phones of the past. There are tweaks to the camera module design. But overall, the series still bears that stylish look.

The OPPO Reno10 5G and OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G are light and easy to hold, thanks to their Ultra Slim Body design. They have 6.7-inch AMOLED 3D curved screens that give them a sleek and premium look. They also have a high screen-to-body ratio of 93%, which means you can enjoy a near-borderless and immersive viewing experience. The screens have a fast refresh rate of 120Hz, a high touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and a high resolution of 2,412 × 1,080 capable of displaying up to one billion different colors at a HDR brightness of 950 nits. You can expect vivid and detailed color transitions on your screen.

OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G's camera setup

Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G has a larger 6.74-inch AMOLED 3D Curved Screen protected by AGC Dragontrail Star 2 cover glass. The screen has an even higher screen-to-body ratio of 93.9%, the same dynamic refresh rate and touch sampling rate, and a higher resolution of 2,772 × 1,240. It also supports a 100% P3 wide color gamut, HDR 10+, and HDR video play on Amazon Prime Video, allowing you to watch your favorite shows and movies in stunning quality on your phone.

The Reno10 series comes in different colors and finishes to suit your style. The OPPO Reno10 5G comes in Ice Blue and Silvery Gray with a finish that’s both scratch-resistant and fingerprint-resistant. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G come in Glossy Purple and Silvery Gray. The eye-catching Glossy Purple certainly lives up to its name, making it our favorite of the bunch.

A look at performance

This new Reno series promises powerful and reliable performance. The OPPO Reno10 5G has a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G mobile platform, 8GB RAM, and 256GB expandable storage. It also has a 5,000mAh battery with Battery Health Engine and 67W SUPERVOOC charging that can fully charge the phone in 47 minutes.

On the other hand, the OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It gets a smaller capacity 4,600mAh battery but with faster 80W SUPERVOOC flash charging that can fully charge the phone in 28 minutes.

And then, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with a RAM and storage configuration similar to the Pro. It sports a somewhat larger 4,700mAh dual-cell battery with the fastest charging capability of any Reno phone ever, a 100W SUPERVOOC flash charging support.

All models in this series promise 48-Month Fluency Protection, which ensures the phones are durable and smooth for longer. They also run on the latest ColorOS 13.1 and Dynamic Computing Engine, which should improve computing performance and run heavy-loaded apps more smoothly and faster.
