LG recently launched a unique product that might appeal to those who love to watch TV on the go. The LG StanbyME Go is a 27-inch 1080p LCD TV in a large suitcase. You can travel with it thanks to its built-in battery and 20-watt speakers.

The LG StanbyME Go retails for USD 999.99, and early buyers get a free Xboom 360 Bluetooth speaker worth USD 249.

This unusual TV is designed as a portable entertainment solution for various scenarios. Consider bringing it along for picnics, vacations, tailgating, or backyard parties. The LG StanbyME Go can run for up to three hours on a single charge. It can be swiveled, tilted, and rotated in different orientations and modes. It also has a touchscreen, which LG says has some optimized games.

The LG StanbyME Go runs on the company’s webOS software, offering access to various streaming apps. You can control the TV with the touchscreen, a remote control (that has its own slot in the suitcase), or voice commands. It also supports AirPlay, screen mirroring from iOS and Android devices, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

This television boasts Dolby Vision and virtualized Dolby Atmos audio from its four speakers, making it a decent option for watching movies and shows. However, don’t expect it to be particularly bright. It does have an outdoor picture mode that enhances the visibility in sunlight. But we expect it to drain the battery a bit more if you use that outdoor picture option. The TV also has eight ambient themes that create different atmospheres, such as a fireplace or a beach.

The LG StanbyME Go is a quirky and one-of-a-kind product that might intrigue some TV enthusiasts. However, it might not be the best choice for everyone. But if you are looking for a TV that can travel with you and provide some fun and entertainment along the way, the LG StanbyME Go might be worth checking out.
