Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘get him back’ music video was shot on the Apple iPhone 15 Pro

Apple’s new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come with new camera and video capabilities. And to promote that, the company teamed up with Olivia Rodrigo to shoot her get him back! music video. And that they used new features like Pro Res 4K Log and its support for external USB-C drives.

Those aren’t the only new camera features on the Apple iPhone 15 Pro series. The sensors are protected by a new nano-coating layer that also helps reduce lens flare. The main 48-megapixel sensor gets better low-light performance. It also now supports 24mm, 28mm, and 35mm photos.

These Pro phones also now get improved Portrait capabilities with 2x low light performance and focus control. You can now have 48-megapixel HEIF photos instead of just ProRAW, so you can take advantage of that high-resolution image and have a smaller, already usable file size.

The ultra-wide sensor on these models can also shoot macro and 13mm shots.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

The Pro Max’s telephoto lens gets 5x optical zoom at 120mm focal length. This periscope lens gets what’s called a tetra prism design. It also has optical image stabilization enhanced with movement in three directions, a first for a smartphone.

As mentioned earlier, you can now save photos and videos directly to a Mac or an external storage. ProRes goes up to 4K60, too.

Apple ties in the Vision Pro with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max’s ability to capture “spatial video.” It’ll use the ultra-wide and main camera to record these 3D videos. This will come at a later date.

If you’re wondering about the Pro series’ other features, let’s check those out below.

The lightest Pro model yet

The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are considered the lightest pro models from the company yet. It’s made with a new Grade 5 Titanium that helps lighten the weight. And combines that with its toughest glass material, too.

These new Pro models also get the thinnest borders allowing the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch phones to get reduced dimensions without sacrificing display size.

Time for (the) Action (button)

Apple also replaced its mute switch with a new Action button. It allows you to still mute the phone, but you can now customize it to open specific apps or actions.

The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max now run on the new A17 Pro chip, the company’s first 3nm processor. The GPU is 20% faster, allowing for hardware-accelerated ray tracing for better game performance. Their USB-C port allows for up to 10Gbps data transfer using an optional USB 3.0 cable.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max: Price and availability

These Pro iPhones come in four colors: black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium.

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at USD 999, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at USD 1,199. The phones will be available starting September 22.
