The new iPhones aren’t the only ones to get USB-C ports. Apple also quickly touched on the second-generation AirPods Pro that’s getting a USB-C charger. This time, you can charge it with your iPhone 15 using a USB-C cable (no wireless/reverse charging on the new phones yet).
Apple also adds dust protection to the AirPods Pro. Both the case and earbuds are IP54-rated. And you can use the USB-C case for low-latency, lossless audio when paired with the Vision Pro. And with the H2 chip, you can expect 20-bit 48kHz sound with the headset.

These second-generation AirPods Pro feature better audio quality and active noise cancellation. You also have access to features like hands-free Siri access, added volume control, and seamless switching between iCloud-connected devices.
Three new features are coming to these AirPods when iOS 17 drops. Adaptive Audio will fine-tune ANC and transparency mode to your surroundings with it “dynamically” blending the two as you move around. Meanwhile, Personalized Audio uses machine learning to predict the volume level based on your activity over time. And then, Conversation Awareness will lower the volume, reduce background noise, and focus on the voices. It’ll activate when you start speaking.

Apple also plans to improve seamless switching between iCloud devices. It’ll also soon be possible to mute and unmute calls by pressing on the stems. This feature will also come to the first-generation AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and third-gen AirPods. We expect the software-based update to arrive soon. But it’s unclear when that would be.
The Apple AirPods Pro retails for USD 249. There will also be a new pair of Earpods with USB-C for USD 19.
