Meet Chipped, the stylish and discrete way to network with your nails

Sharing your credentials or contact details might soon be as easy as showing off your manicure. Gossip Protocol and KIKI World partnered to create Chipped, NFC-embedded press-on nails that let you share information with a tap. It’s designed to simplify how we network without physical business cards or the clunky exchange of asking someone to input their information on your phone.

Each set of Chipped nails comes with thumbs with a built-in NFC chip. They use the same technology we use for contactless “tap to pay” credit cards. Before applying the nails, you can pair the chips to your smartphone.

According to a KIKI World representative, you’ll then be prompted to create a KIKI World account or connect to your existing one. Once set up, your KIKI profile will load every time someone scans the chip. You can link the nails to your social platforms, website, content, credentials, and more. It streamlines that link-sharing process while keeping it discrete and stylish.

And since these are accessories made by KIKI World, you can chip in (pun unintended) and vote over which colors should come out first. Among the options are Celestial, an icy iridescent shade, lavender Miuccia, and Feu, a fiery orange.
