We’ve said this on our Instagram, but it bears repeating. “What in the Y2K is this? And why do we want it?” Parisian ready-to-wear and accessories brand Coperni debuted its CD-Player Swipe Bag during its Spring-Summer 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week.
As Design Milk calls it, this bag looks like the “ultimate symbol of the resurgence of all things aughts.” It combines the brand’s signature Swipe bag with a device that looks like a Sony Discman, except with the Coperni branding.
The fashion label describes it on its Instagram as “3D printed in Paris.” And while it might fit in during that early 2000s era, it gets upgraded to sport a USB-C rechargeable battery. So, it can be charged alongside your phone (yes, even the new iPhone).
But there’s no word yet if Coperni will sell this. We’d like to see it, though.
